In-Character Rules
1.
Godmodding is prohibited. Your character is not all powerful.
2.
Powerplaying is unacceptable. You may not control other individuals characters movements, emotions, or otherwise.
3.
Metagaming is forbidden. Any out-of-character knowledge you have of someone's character may not be used for your characters in-character knowledge.
4.
Auto-hitting is outlawed.
5.
Retconning should be avoided as much as possible. However, due to liquid time, this may prove difficult.
6.
No word count. We strive for quality over quantity. We also do not require post-matching.
7.
All cats die one day. This can be due to illness, infection, wounds, fatal blows in battle, or old age. Natural disasters too can send cats to StarClan, The Place of No Stars, The Tribe of Endless Hunting, or the Rainbow Bridge, etc.
8.
One may only play two leaders at any given time. If you have a cat that was promoted to leader, but you're already maxed out on leaders then the previous leader may choose someone else.
9.
You may only play two medicine cats, or two medicine cat apprentices, or one of each at any given time. This is, of course, to keep things fair as others might enjoy a chance to play a med cat.
10.
Liquid Time is in effect. You may have as many threads going with a character as you can keep track of during a season. As long as there is a reasonable linear timeline being up-kept that doesn't confuse others we'll be golden.
11.
When creating a character they must be a warrior, or an elder. Kits and paws must have been born on-site or auditioned for in the adoptions section. Everyone gets one free loner, rogue, or kittypet to play. If they'd like more then they either have to audition for one via the adoptions section or purchase one via the site shop.
12.
Incest is illegal. We do not count romance with a first cousin once removed as incest, but any closer blood relative is unacceptable when it comes to romantic entanglements. These are wild animals after all!
13.
Apprentice aged cats may not have kits. A cat has to be a warrior to have kits. Typically a cat becomes a warrior around twelve moons. It takes a little over two moons to gestate. A she-cat may not give birth to a litter before their fifteenth moon.
14.
Kits cannot have crushes. Apprentices can have crushes. Warriors can have mates and have litters. Warriors cannot have a crush on anyone younger than twelve moons. 15.
Solo Threads are welcome as long as they are at least 500 words. These can help with the development of a character, but please try to have your character interact with other members characters too in collaborative threads.
16.
Cats may have up to three litters on site. If you'd like more litters there is a site shop to purchase one.
17.
She-cats can have a litter with multiple sires. Just be aware that a single kit can still only have one sire.
18.
The leader of your cats' clan will determine your warriors' name. That is if the cat was born into the clan, or joined the clan as an apprentice. However for cats which are already warrior aged feel free to give them their warrior name.
19.
A cat with a disability will not automatically be considered for medicine cat apprenticeship. In fact depending on the injury and whether or not there is an opening for a medicine cat apprentice a leader may decide to send the cat to the Elder's Den.
20.
Only kittypets may be purebred cats. This is due to the gene pool getting diluted over time. Once a purebred cat breeds with a moggy their kittens will not be considered purebred and what made them a purebred gets further diluted down the generations. Plus there are some purebreds that would not do well in the wild, like that of the modern Persian.
21.
No hybrid cats.
