Since everyone is required to choose/post genetic traits for their cats here, and we need to make sure that those codes are consistent with the character’s appearance and within any families, I think it would be very beneficial to have some sort of genetics guide. Even with the little text tags there’s a lot of options that are pretty meaningless to a layman, so life would be much, much easier if we could go to one place on-site to see some picture/quick-text descriptions of what the trait actually is.

That sounds like a sound idea. I will have to look up some images then or find some free lineart that could be flat colored if need be.
If you find any genetics of cats that may be missing from the list feel free to point it out.

I'm glad you like it!
Including resources like the one Enzeru linked in the chatbox would also be helpful, since its an extra tool to help people piece their families together. Might not all get used, but definitely much better to have than not!
Doubt I can help much in terms of pointing out additional genetics, though. Albinism is a fairly noticeable gap (I think?), but I fall squarely into the category of 'not being too familiar with these' haha

I've linked to a few sites/tutorials. There's quite a bit on DA, but if there's more out there that's fine.
It's nice to be realistic, although there seems to be some genetics that even geneticists haven't truly identified as yet. And then there's Barrington Brown, such a terrible loss and a horrid place for it to be used in looking at the history thereof.
Siamese cats are a type of albino, though not fully. I have never heard of a truly albino cat but am not adverse to possibly adding them though I think they're rare if they do exist within the kingdom of the cat.
