Each cat may get one vision while determining whether they'll be going on the journey or not. However not all cats have to get these visions, but it is an option. These may not even necessarily be considered Tribe of Endless Hunting dreams either but how a cat subconsciously thinks a deceased family member might want them to do.
It is very rare that the ancestors speak, show up, or guide anyone but Teller of Pointed Stones. And they can do nothing more than make suggestions and talk. They have incorporeal forms after all and thus will be fleeting for them to be seen or heard.
After this, they will not be seen or heard from again in this manner. Although if medicine cats do start to pop up they might, sometimes.
